Togo was created more than 22 years ago. At that time, I had never worked in the gardening sector, as my previous experience was with a painting and renovation company. Due to my employer's various financial problems at the time, he was unable to make his payments, and this led to an unusual situation.

He offered me a solution: instead of a salary, he offered me an open trailer and various pieces of equipment, practically everything I would need to start a landscaping company. I accepted the offer, even though I wasn't sure what to do with it all. When I shared the news with five friends who lived with me, one of them made a casual suggestion: "Then set up a landscaping company for yourself!" Even though it was a joke, it stuck in my head, and after a few days, I decided to take a chance and start my own business. Completely inexperienced in the field, I started in February 2002, distributing flyers and carrying out the first services. Thank God, I managed to win over 35 clients right from the start and ended the year with 55 homes serviced. The following year, 2003, saw significant growth, reaching 250 homes, now with the help of three employees. In 2004, I realized that the company was well on its way and decided to focus on sales.

I hired someone to take over the operation while I dedicated myself to sales.

The company continued to thrive, and we ended up with seven grass-cutting groups and three malting groups, totaling ten teams. In 2004, I invited my wife to leave her cleaning job and join me in the office. This change contributed significantly to the growth of the business. We overcame challenges such as the language barrier, as I had only been in the United States for a year and seven months when I started my own business. Today, we have around 1,500 to 1,600 clients, several teams and we are looking for new growth opportunities within the company itself.
